Osceola resident significantly reduces his house’s radon level


The United States Environmental Protection Agency has named January as National Radon Action Month.

Osceola resident Mark Forsstrom tested his own home nearly a year ago and has taken steps since then to reduce his house's radon level. Forsstrom purchased a radon testing kit from a hardware store after hearing about radon problems in the Clarke County area. The high test results alerted him that his house's radon level was nearly eight times the EPA's 4 pCi/L action level.
