The start of a new year provides an opportunity to replace bad habits with good ones. This is especially important when it comes to preventing cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, about 33 percent of all cancers are related to poor diet, physical inactivity and obesity, while only 5 percent to 10 percent result from inherited factors.
