While supplies last, the Will County Health Department is providing free radon test kits to Will County homeowners.
"The Surgeon General and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency now recommend that all homeowners test their residences to see whether dangerous levels of radon are present," said Michael Vollmer, Will County Health Department environmental health director.
"We're offering an opportunity for Will County homeowners to test free because we believe the potential health risks are real and significant. We're certainly hoping people will take advantage of this limited offer."
