Date Published: 02/16/2007 [Source]

Minneapolis Real Estate Agent Aaron Dickinson was working with a client who wanted to put an office in his basement. The radon level in the basement area was significantly above the EPA action level of 4.0.

Radon, a colorless, odorless gas is a source of radiation exposure and is linked to lung cancer. However, the process to mitigate the effects of this exposure is relatively easy and not very expensive.

A contractor was brought into the client's home to mitigate the radon levels, and was done successfully by venting the gas out the top of the house.
