North Dakota residents will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite radon poster in the statewide fifth-grade student Radon Poster Contest. The contest, which was begun in 2003 and is sponsored by the North Dakota Department of Health and the American Lung Association of North Dakota, is intended to raise awareness about radon and its dangers.
Residents can choose their favorite poster at the North Dakota State Capitol building or on the Department of Health's website. The winner will be announced on March 10, 2009, on the DOH's website and in a statewide news release.
